Wyndal Wasson, age 77, of Conyers, GA, died Friday evening, May 24, 2019, following a vigilant battle with congestive heart failure. Born September 19, 1941, in Glenville, GA, he was the youngest son of the late John Daniel and Eva Melissa (Moody) Wasson. Wyndal was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Wyndal served his country Honorably in The US Army and spent over fifty years as a contractor salesman for various lumber companies in Florida and Georgia. He loved to be around people. He especially loved his "Georgia Bulldogs", and rarely missed watching a game, even when in the hospital.
Wyndal is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 40 years, Rita Glenn Wasson; along with five children: Tony (Norma) Brown of Rosepine, LA, Wyndi Best also of Rosepine, LA, Danny Smith of Conyers, GA, Amie (Daniel) Bryant of Fairburn, GA and Glenn (Lori) Wasson of Walnut Grove, GA. Seven grandchildren: Brittney (Jason) Wisby, Abbey (Brent) Stahl, Justin Brown, Jaclyn Best, Jenna Best, Katelyn Wasson and Garrett Wasson and four great-grandchildren: Gracie and Peyton Wisby and Katherine and Violet Stahl. A celebration of Wyndal's life will be held 2 o'clock Saturday, June 15, at the First Baptist Church of Lithonia with Rev. Robert Lindsay and Dr. Jim Martin officiating.
