Willie C. Howell, Jr., age 84, of Lithonia, died at his home on March 24, 2020. A graduate of Lithonia High School, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a self-employed painter for over 40 years. Willie had a great sense of humor and enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time in the mountains, listening to blue grass music, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Hazel Watson Howell; son, Monty Howell; parents, Willie Clarence and Dorothy Howell; and brothers, Donald and Ernest Howell. Surviving are his children, Luke Howell of Lithonia, Buck Howell and his wife, Vicki, of Stockbridge, Deanne Harper of Stockbridge, and Donna Lund and her husband, Ricky, of Buckhead; eight grandchildren, Victoria Harris, Austin and Evan Howell, Walker and Wyatt Howell, Levi Lund, Lauren and Alyssa; three great grandchildren, Marlee, Avery and Hazel; sister, Martha Ann Marcus of Marietta; brother, Eddie Howell and his wife, Donna; and many nieces and nephews. Willie was buried at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge next to his beloved wife Hazel. A memorial service will be held11 o'clock, Saturday, May 8, 2021, in the Chapel of Henry Funeral Home.
