Wanda Hearing, loving wife and mother, entered Heaven on Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Augusta, Georgia. She was born September 14, 1942 in Kokomo, IN. She was the daughter of Walter and Etta Mae (Veasey) Winner. On August 23, 1959 she married Blaine Burns. On October 28, 1989 she married Robert Hearing. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1959. She worked at Howard Community Hospital assisting in surgery and later worked for the Burlington Clinic in Burlington and Kokomo as Dr. Phil Whitfield's nurse. She retired from nursing with more than 18 years of service. After retirement, she and Bob began volunteering in full time ministry through Child Evangelism and Source of Light. She loved to cook and entertain others in her home. She never turned down an opportunity to practice hospitality. She also loved to read and shared books with her children and others. She loved to sew and do crafts. She and Bob also enjoyed traveling and sharing their ministry with others. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her children will always be grateful for the Christian values instilled in them from an early age. She truly lived out her faith daily. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 6 children, Debbie (Terry) Lamb, Sharpsville, Donna (Craig) Bowland, Kokomo, Dawn (Scott) Brown, Warsaw, Dana Burns, Montana, Linda (Dave) Brumbaugh, Winona Lake, Steve (Barb) Hearing, Michigan; twelve grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren with one on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister. A memorial service celebrating Wanda's life will be held at 6:30 Tuesday evening at the First Church of God, corner of Park Road and State Road 26, Kokomo, Indiana with Rev. Matt Gaylor officiating.
