D.D. "Trigger" Maughon, age 85, of Lithonia, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 in Social Circle. He was a faithful member of Union Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and loved spending time with his church family. Trigger was a lifelong resident of Lithonia and was known for selling the best tomatoes one could get their hands on! Being an outdoorsman at heart, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, spending time with family (especially grandchildren), basketball, and many other activities. Trigger is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Maughon. Surviving are daughters, Anita Young and her husband, Randy, of Monroe, and Teresa Folds and her husband, Phillip, of Social Circle; son, Randy Maughon and his wife, Detra, of Madison; brother, Colin Maughon and his wife, Nancy, of Loganville; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 3 o'clock Sunday, September 3, 2017 in the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Derik Lawrence, Rev. Tim Chupp, and Rev. Steve King officiating. Interment will follow at Lithonia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:30 - 3:00 o'clock prior to the service.
