Tommy E. Graham, Jr., Director of Asset Protection & Operations Process Support with Southern Company Gas, passed away peacefully at Emory University Hospital on February 18, 2017 in Decatur, Georgia at the age of 66.
Tommy is survived by wife Marsha Moore Graham, three sons Brian (Jennifer Sullivan) of Merritt Island, Florida, Blake (Jennifer Johnston) of Social Circle, Georgia and Kyle Graham of Social Circle Georgia; sister Teresa Jackson (James) of Macon, Georgia; Two grandchildren, granddaughter Chloe Graham of Merritt Island, Florida and Hunter Graham of Social Circle, Georgia.
Tommy was born on December 14, 1950 in Macon, Georgia to the late Ella Miller Scott and Tommy E Graham, Sr. Tommy graduated from Willingham High School in 1969. After graduation, he attended Macon Junior College. He began his distinguished career with Atlanta Gas Light Company (now Southern Company Gas) in July of 1969 and held various positions during his 47 years of dedicated service. He was an active participant with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Conyers where he had served as a deacon, a member of various committees and helped start the mentoring program.
His children remember him as a kind, gentle, patient and driven father who encouraged them to pursue their dreams and goals. He is remembered by family and friends as a generous, witty and dedicated individual who loved life and who was passionate about his family and career.
Visitation will be held at Henry Funeral Home in Social Circle, Georgia (291 N Cherokee Road, Social Circle, GA 30025), Tuesday, February 21 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 22 at First Baptist Church of Covington (1139 Usher St, NW, Covington, GA 30014) with Larry Wynn, of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, officiating. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park at 3:30 PM (3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31204), with Danny Mundy, of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Tommy E Graham, Jr., to the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
