Service: 12 o'clock, Thursday, December 22, 2016 Place: Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home Visitation: 6 - 8 Wednesday evening Place: Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia Thomas D. Goddard, age 84 of Oakfield, GA, died December 18, 2016. A Lithonia native and member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Lithonia, he later moved to Albany, GA where he retired from Overnite Transportation Company as Terminal Manager after 42 years of service. He enjoyed working in his yard, fishing, and camping, but his greatest love was for his wife and family. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Cynthia "Vonnie" Goddard; parents, Eugene and Janie Goddard; and sister, Dorothy Lyon. Surviving are daughters, Vicky Hoebeke and her husband, Steve, of Albany and Bonnie Smith and her husband, Joe, of Oakfield; sons, Larry Goddard and his wife, Marilyn, of Nicholson and Rocky Goddard and his wife, Donna, of Warwick; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 12 o'clock Thursday, December 22, in the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Nelson Goddard officiating. Interment will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 Wednesday evening at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia.
