Thomas William "Tom" Bodkin, age 79, of Loganville, died on September 1, 2023. He was born in Augusta, Georgia, on May 7, 1944, to the late Thomas William, Sr., & Anne Isabelle Smith Bodkin. Tom was known for his brilliant mind and love for animals, especially cats and dogs. His life was rich with knowledge and dedication to learning. Notably, Tom was an avid reader and had an unrivaled understanding of history, politics, and religion. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; special aunts, Katherine and Dorothy Smith; special friend and caregiver, Winnie Daniel. Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Howard "Hobo" and Brenda Bodkin; special friends and caregivers, Carol, Steve and Pat Northcutt and Mickey Winling. His family would like to extend their deepest gratefulness to those who helped care for Tom with such kindness and generosity. A memorial service to celebrate Tom's life will be held 3 o'clock, Sunday, September 17 at Loganville Christian Church, 4339 Highway 78, Loganville, with Dr. Joel Martinez officiating.
