Thomas Abbott

Thomas R. Abbott, Sr., age 76, of Monticello, formerly Lithonia, died July 13, 2017. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. Tom was a 1959 graduate of Lithonia High School, enjoyed reading and was a Civil War History buff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Lucille Abbott; sister, Sequel Hadaway; and brother, Hubert Abbott. Surviving are his wife, Patricia "Cookie" Abbott; sons, Chris Abbott and Thomas Russell Abbott, Jr., both of Covington; sisters, Joy Murphy of Lithonia, Ethel Lister of Tucker, Alice Frix of Lilburn, and Anita Mitchell of Conyers. The family will have a service at a later date.
