Terry L. (Speedy) Merritt, age 52, of Conyers, died October 18, 2022. He grew up in Lithonia, graduated from Lithonia High School class of 1989 and was an electrician by trade. Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel Crews, Carl Merritt and Jean and Gene Plumley; and his Aunt Linda Bailey. He is survived by his daughter, Alisha Carmichael and her husband, Lance, of Forsyth; parents, Brenda and Jeff Merritt, of Lithonia; grandson, Colson Carmichael, of Forsyth; sisters, Kelly Martin of Conyers and Ginger Merritt of Oxford; grandmothers, Hortence Anderson of Conyers and Janet Merritt of Lithonia; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 1 o'clock, Friday, October 21 in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Deanne Lynch officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 1 o'clock prior to the service at the funeral home.
