Service: 3 o'clock, Sunday, January 15, 2017 Place: Lithonia First United Methodist Church Terry George Bement, age 61, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 of natural causes. He was born in American Fork, UT to Connie George Bement and Nedra (Grissom) Daws. He had an Engineering Degree from Penn State, through a correspondence program. Professionally he was a pipefitter, installing fire suppression systems throughout the Atlanta area. He was extremely handy and could truly fix almost anything. He moved a lot in his early years, but always felt at home at the family farm in Red Bay, Alabama. As a teenager, he moved to Georgia which eventually became his home. He loved to fish; explore nature; play pranks; tell stories and make people laugh, but above all he loved his family, and loved being a father and grandfather. Terry had a special way of making people feel loved, whether they were family or not. He was always willing to help, and had a big heart for anything in need whether it was a person or animal. He is survived by his mother, Nedra Daws of Gainesville, GA; daughters Shannon (Bement) Majsztrik and husband John of Anderson, SC and Nicole Wynn of Atlanta, GA and grandchildren, Elaina, Samuel, Grissom, and Christian. He is also survived by his Brothers James Daws of Vero Beach, FL and Guy Bement of Athens, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Connie Bement; his son, Brian George Bement and his grandparents Heyburn Grissom and Jewell Williams Grissom. A memorial service will be held Sunday January 15, at 3:00 PM at Lithonia First United Methodist Church, 3099 Stone Mountain St. Lithonia, GA 30058.
