Obituary

Terrell Wray Cochran, Sr., age 76, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, died May 4, 2025. Born in Jasper, on June 1, 1948, Terry, as he was known to most, led a life marked by service to others. A deeply patriotic man, he honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Terry was actively involved in the community as a proud member of the Shriners and the Masons, holding the title of Past Master of Grant Park Lodge. He was also a devoted member of Glen Haven, Park Place (formerly Redan) & Macedonia Baptist Churches during his lifetime, where he served in many capacities. Professionally, he sold welding supplies for Sidney Lee Welding Supplies for many years. His final years were spent at Delmar Gardens in Lawrenceville where he loved being a resident and received commendable care. Preceding him in death were his parents, "CC" & Agnes Cochran, and his sister, Carolyn Mitchell. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Judith Ann Cochran; son and daughter-in-law, Wray & Linsey Cochran of Oxford; adored grandson of whom he was a proud Papa, Maverick Wray Cochran; brother and sister-in-law, David & Laura Cochran; nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial service to honor Terry's life will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday, May 10, at Rockdale Baptist Church, 1295 Smyrna Road, Conyers. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Shriners Children's Hospital, shrinerschildrens.org.
