S/Sgt. Lorenzo Martinez Romero U. S. Army Retired, age 85, of Conyers, died September 17, 2015. He was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving his country honorably for 23 years including two tours in Vietnam. Lorenzo was preceded in death by his step daughter, Pamela Holbrook. A loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Brenda Romero; daughter, Michele Holbrook of Conyers; sons, John Romero and Tim Romero of Colorado, Johnny Gilbert and wife Val of Redan, and Howard Robinson of Covington; sister, Alice Uriquries and husband Jim of California; several brothers in California; sisters-in-law, Sheila Carter of Redan and Fayne Holbrook of Conyers; extended family member, Sara Maxwell of Union Point; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
