Shelby L. Cox, age 78, of Buckhead, Georgia died November 20, 2019, at her residence. She was a retired Letter Carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to James and Doris Laymons, she was preceded in death by her husband, George 'Bud' Cox, and is survived by her son, Christopher Cox and his wife Julie of Buckhead; sister, Shirley Pinion of Chickmauga; nephews, John and Ben McElroy of Douglasville. A memorial service is planned after the new year.
