Seth Windsor Ward, died peacefully May 3, 2019. Born August 20, 1925 in Birmingham, Alabama, Seth served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII participating in action at Cape Gloucester, New Britain, Wood-lark and Peleliu Island. After returning home he enrolled at the University of Alabama, obtaining his B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering Structural Option in 1952. He was a member of Chi Epsilon National Engineering Honor society, Life member of The American Society of Civil Engineers, The American Welding Society and the Georgia section of The American Concrete Institute. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Jane Cardwell Ward and son, Stephen Cardwell Ward, surviving are his son, Seth Windsor Ward, Jr., of Grants, New Mexico, grandchildren, John, Matt and T.J. Ward, sister, Sara Baker and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11 o'clock, Wednesday May 8, at the Adams Family Cemetery, Newborn, Georgia.
