Sarah Ann Simmons, age 93, of Stone Mountain, died September 1, 2020. She was a secretary for Sears Roebuck and Company in Atlanta and retired after 43 years of service and attended Bethel Baptist Church in Stone Mountain for many years. Sarah enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, hunting, working on her computer, her cats, attending 'Farm Day Festivals', spending time with her family, and riding motorcycles with her husband when they were young. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William Floyd "Bill" Simmons. Surviving are her son, William Floyd "Will" Simmons, Jr. of Social Circle; sister, Althea Starling of Russellville, AL; brothers, Howard Jett and his wife, Crista, of Castleberry, FL and Bobby Jett and his wife, Sue, of Augusta, GA; nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held 4 o'clock, Thursday, September 3, at Bethel Community Cemetery, Stone Mountain, with Rev. Bob Howard and Rev. Preston Moore officiating.
