Sarah Pierce

Sarah Elizabeth Pierce, age 74, of Covington, died April 24, 2021. Born in Atlanta to Ike and Mozelle Warbington, Sarah grew up in Lithonia where she attended Lithonia High School. She was a people person who never met a stranger. Sarah also enjoyed reading, drinking hot coffee and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a giving heart often helping the elderly. Sarah was preceded in death by parents, Ike and Mozelle Warbington; brothers, William Warbington, Larry Warbington, Bobby Warbington, Charles Warbington, Gene Warbington; sister, Beatrice Weldon; grandsons, Chris Rutledge and Michael Ray Pierce, Jr. Surviving are her sons, Wesley Stephens and Michael Pierce and his fiance, Margaret, all of Covington; daughters, Kathy Stephens of Lilburn, Cindy Pierce and Wendy Pierce, both of Conyers; sister, Diane Anderson of Conyers; grandchildren, Jennifer, Anthony, Hope, Glori, Noah, Kyarra, Kendle, Kaylee, Wes, TJ, Leana, Gloria, Jeniffer, Josh, Timothy, and Alicia; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 1 o'clock, Friday, April 30, at Lithonia City Cemetery with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30-12:30 Friday Prior to service time at Henry Funeral Home.
