Roy Richard Bennett, age 86, of Loganville, died April 26, 2021. He was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia to Roy Richard Bennett, Sr. and Johnnie Grace Hudson Bennett and was a graduate of South Gwinnett High School. Roy was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and worked for the Life of Georgia Insurance Company for many years before retiring. He enjoyed playing golf at Cedar Lake Golf Club; camping all over the country; and traveling to Ireland, Hawaii and London, where he was able to see Queen Elizabeth as she rode close by him in a parade (he was thrilled!) A loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sybil Britt Bennett; son, Richard Wayne Bennett; grandchildren, Ryan Bennett and Brandi Penn; and great grandson, Cody Penn. No arrangements are planned at this time.
