Andrew Morris, age 65, of Conyers, died on August 10, 2023. He was born in Monroe, Georgia to the late James Howard & Delzina Morris in 1957. A dedicated, hard-working and loyal man, his work ethic radiated not only through his business but also in his service to the Lord. A faithful member of Jersey Baptist Church, his love for the Lord was evident in his devotion to reading the Bible and his works in the Church. While living in Kentucky, he built the church where he pastored for many years. His gifts weren't physical or monetary, but those of love, faith, and fellowship. Andrew was a family man through and through. He was a people person with a knack for turning strangers into family members. He cherished his grandchildren, always ready to share an adventure or a playful tease. His love for them was unquestionable and the memories they made were priceless. In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his sons, Jeremy and Joey Morris, and brothers, Richard and Frank Morris. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Kay Morris; children and their spouses, Rhonda and Gene Ewing of Conyers, Desiree and William Moore of Conyers, Andrea and Mark Cooper of Monroe, Shain and Jessica Morris or Covington; sisters, Idell Morris, Virginia Massey, Faye Brock, Peggy Justice, Helen Justice; brothers, Leroy Morris, Cecil Morris, Larry Morris; 20 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor his life will be held 12 o'clock, Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Jersey Baptist Church with his brother, Pastor Cecil Morris, officiating and interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, August 12, beginning at 11 o'clock. Flowers are accepted or contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
