Robert Schaeffer, age 82, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 2, 2019, having suffered a heart attack. He is survived by many cousins. Bobby was a quiet man filled with compassion who had a close and abiding love with Jesus. Whenever he heard someone was sick, he would ask about their souls and if they knew Jesus. He recently said that he was expecting "My Jesus to give me a blessing!" The biggest blessing is to be with Jesus face-to-face! A funeral service will be held 4 o'clock, Wednesday, March 6, at Pine Grove Baptist, with Rev. Greg Howell officiating. A graveside service will be held 12 noon, Thursday, March 7, at Fairview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ron Plott officiating.
