Obituary

Robert Edward "Robby" Pruett, age 39, of Chattanooga, TN, died Monday, September 6, 2021, succumbing to the COVID-19 Virus. Robby was a devoted father, husband, brother, and son. He worked as a manager at AT&T for the last 12 years. Born in Atlanta, GA, he was raised in Lithonia, Covington, and Macon, GA where he played football and graduated from Westside High School. He continued his studies at Georgia Southern University. He coached softball and basketball for his girls and was a cherished member of the community. He loved fixing things, Tennessee Volunteer Football, and his family. Shy as a Mack Truck, he made friends everywhere he went, but had a special relationship with those closest to him. Always dependable, if anyone was in need, he would be there to lend a helping hand. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward "Eddie" Pruett; brother, Jeremy Kyle Pruett; grandparents, James H. "Bud" and Betty Jane Pruett; grandmother, Marilyn Morris; and loyal dog, Al. He is survived by his wife, Joanna; daughters, Cameron (15), Aubrey (10), and Emma (7); mother, Alison Pruett of Wedowee, AL; mother-in-law, Cathy Bain of Macon, GA; brother and sister-in-law, James and Lindsey Pruett of Milton, GA ; grandfather, Fred Morris of Lithonia; nieces and nephews, Glenn Elizabeth, Ren, Parker, and Coleman. A Memorial Service will be held 1 o'clock Friday, September 10, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church Street, Lithonia, GA, 30058, with Dr. Jim Martin officiating.
