Robert "Bobby" Lee Mitchell, age 84, of Conyers, Georgia, died May 1, 2025. Born in Lithonia, Georgia, on June 26, 1940, he was a son of the now late James Wesley & Clara Cleghorn Mitchell. An avid fisherman, his children will always cherish the memories of their countless childhood fishing adventures. Bobby was also a devoted collector, with a particular fondness for coins. He will be remembered for his love of family and his generous spirit, always willing to help others. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sons, Randy Eddie Mitchell, William David Mitchell, Wesley Doyle Mitchell; former wives, Mary Annett Mitchell, Karen Deanne Mitchell; brother, Raymond Mitchell; and sister, Linda Morgan. Survivors include his son, Anthony Mitchell; daughter, Melissa Covington; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Gerald Lewis; grandchildren, Rachael Mincey (Matthew), Emily Mitchell, Nathan Covington, Amberly Covington, Brandon Covington, Darren Covington, Thomas Covington, and Lucas Covington; great-grandchildren, Chloe Young, Mitchell Mincey, and Kayden Covington; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. A graveside service for Bobby will be held 2:30 PM, Saturday, May 10, at Hillandale Memorial Park, Lithonia, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the graveside on Saturday, from 12:30 - 2:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church Street, Lithonia.
