Robert Franklin Burke, Jr., known to most as Bob, died February 19, 2026, at the age of 81. A longtime resident of Loganville, he was a devoted member of the New Testament Baptist Church, where he found great joy and fellowship within the community.
Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and dedicated a significant portion of his professional life to a successful career in banking with SunTrust. A man of diverse interests and hobbies, he was an avid coin collector and passionate fan of Atlanta Braves baseball. Additionally, he enjoyed staying active by going to the gym and walking. Bob was also known for his sociability; he enjoyed the company of others whether through going out to eat, meeting up for fellowship, or engaging in phone conversations with friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert Franklin and Ruth Burke; and his beloved wife, Louise Burke.
Bob is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Krystal Tucker; granddaughter, Natalie Nixon; cousins, Herman and Karen McCormack; as well as dear friends, Brenda Bodkin, John Bolen, Joe Gentry and Gloria Neely.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 23, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia. A graveside service to honor Bob's life will follow at 2:00 PM, at Hill Haven Memory Gardens, Monroe, with Pastor Ben Tanner officiating.
