Richard Lamar (Ricky) Bryan, age 63, of Covington passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was born in Conyers and raised in Lithonia to Denton and Clara Bryan and graduated from Lithonia High School, class of '77. Ricky worked as an aircraft mechanic for several years with Epps Air Service and in recent years worked in the construction and home improvement business. He had a love for the outdoors; hunting and fishing were his greatest pleasure. Ricky could do anything with his hands and was a perfectionist with his work and all his projects. To his family, he was often the first choice for many home improvements and always exceeded expectations. Ricky had a contagious smile and laugh and loved a good story. He had many friends beyond his family who fondly called him "Dash." Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Bryan. Surviving are his father, Denton Bryan of Covington; brother, Randal Bryan and his wife, Missy, of Sharpsburg; sister, Lorrie Moody and her husband, Steven, of Grayson; nephews, Kason (Katie), Kyle (Haley) and Kaleb (Abby) Moody, Spencer (Brittany) Bryan; and niece, Sara Bryan; and several great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Friday, July 8th in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Pastor Russ Butcher officiating. The interment will follow at Hillandale Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 9:30-11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home.
