Service: 2 o'clock Wednesday, December 9 Place: Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home Interment: Green Meadow Memorial Park Visitation: 6 - 8:30 Tuesday evening Place: Henry Funeral Home Lithonia Raymond E. "Ray" Turner, age 79, of Covington, died December 6, 2015. Born in Conyers, GA and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church, he served his country in the National Guard, and owned and operated Alcovy Excavators for over 35 years. Ray enjoyed fishing, boating, tractors, loaders and his grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Sarah Turner; brother, Guy Turner, Jr.; brother in laws, Hayden Christian and Ronnie McEachern. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Edith McEachern Turner; daughters, Lynn Turner of Jersey; Donna Turner Clack and her husband, Donnie, of Loganville; son, Mike Turner, Sr. and his wife, Terri, of Conyers; sister, Betty Turner Christian of Conyers; brothers, Charles Turner and his wife, Connie, of Conyers; Bobby Turner and his wife, Darlene, Jimmy Turner and his wife, Marlene, all of Conyers; sister is laws, Jane McEachern of Conyers; Charldene Chupp and her husband, Charlie, of Lake Oconee; brother in laws, Kenneth McEachern and his wife Mildred, of Conyers; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Wednesday, December 9, in the Lithonia chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Dickens and Rev. Allen Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions toward final expenses.
