Randy "Bear" White, known to his immediate family as Johnny, age 68, of Conyers, died on October 23, 2023. Born on August 2, 1955, in Conyers, he was a compassionate, loyal, loving, and supportive man known affectionately to loved ones as "Bear". Randy was a skilled Master Carpenter, taking pride in his work and leaving a tangible legacy of his craftsmanship.
His love for his family was paramount, and he found joy in cooking and grocery shopping. His carpentry work gained him recognition as a Master Carpenter, a title he held with pride. He began working with his father at the age of 10. He was currently living and working in St. Simons Island, GA with his son, Joshua, but would frequently drive back to Conyers to check on his beloved wife who he called Sweetieface and his father-in-law, Bill Cole. He always made sure the freezer was full of meals before he would head back to St. Simons.
Bear and Pat dated for 6 years before they got married on October 3, 1981 at Bear's Aunt Sis's house. Pat was only 16 when she met and fell in love with Bear. They created a beautiful life together over the years. His son, Joshua, was the light of his life, and they made a lot of meaningful and wonderful memories working together over the last 16 years.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, James "Jack" White; mother, Ludelle White; siblings, Robert "Pete" White, Loretta White Moon, Eddie White, Jim White and Diane White Stafford. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia Cole; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua & Gueisa White of St. Simons Island, GA; siblings, Arlene White and spouse, Jeff and David and Renee White; grandchildren, Guilherme, Larissa and Sabrina; father-in-law, Bill Cole and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
A funeral service will be held 3 o'clock, Sunday, October 29, 2023, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church Street, Lithonia, with Bro. Gene Minor officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home from 2-3 PM.
