Randy was a 1973 graduate of Roswell High School, past President of the Georgia Fraternal Order of Police, and retired as a Lieutenant from the Gwinnett County Police Department, where he served his community faithfully for 30 years. A loving son, father and grandfather, he was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Warren Lane. Surviving are his mother, Doris Lane of Snellville; sons, Richard Andrew Lane and his wife, Jennifer, of Loganville, and Daniel Thomas Lane of Loganville; brother Jimmy Lane and his wife, Guinn, of South Carolina; grandson Warren Clark Lane of Loganville; granddaughter, Natalee Brooke Lane of Loganville; nieces Valerie Lane of South Carolina and Erin McLean of Suwanee; three great nieces. Funeral services will be held at twelve thirty, Thursday, October 15, in the Lithonia chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Pastor Duke Forrester officiating.
