James Randall Hegwood, age 60, of Newborn, died August 24, 2021. Randall was born to Bennie Lee and Beverly Ann Hegwood in Conyers where he grew up and attended Heritage High School. James was a self employed residential framer for many years. He loved deer hunting, fishing, watching wrestling and football, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandson. Randall is survived by his wife, Anita Lewis Hegwood; sons, Craig Hegwood and Lee Hegwood, both of Newborn; daughter, Brandy and her husband, Jerry Parker, Jr. of Conyers; step-daughter, Alexis Taro of Franklin, North Carolina; brother, Tony Hegwood and his wife, Ellen, of Newborn; ten grandchildren; and one great grandson. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, August 29, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Tony Hegwood officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends from 12:30 til 2 o'clock prior to the service at the funeral home.
