Randall Grimes

Randall L. Grimes, age 44, of Decatur, died Friday June 2, 2023. Born in Conyers, Georgia, he attended Stockbridge High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Peach State Construction Company. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, talking with "Nottie", his older brother; and loved his dog, Stella. He was loved by many, missed by all and was the "Biggest Mama's boy in the family. Randy was preceded in death by his father, James E. Grimes. He is survived by his mother, Avis Laverne Grimes Wooten; sisters, Cindy Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Candice Hutcheson and her husband, Jeff; brothers, James E. Grimes, Jr. and his wife Tina, Donald Grimes and his wife Kim; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Tuesday, June 6, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Hillandale Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8, Monday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to his mother who is finalizing his expenses.
