Ralph R. Williamson, age 88, of Conyers, died December 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Blairsville, Georgia to Carl and Lelah Williamson and grew up in Gainesville, Georgia. Ralph served his country honorably in the U.S. Army; was a barber for 40 years, owning Williamson's Barber Shop, and in 1972 started his other business, Williamson Tree Service. A great sense of humor and a wonderful storyteller was a gift that was passed down to his children. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the guitar and banjo, mostly enjoyed spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly). Ralph was preceded in death by his sons, Denton Williamson and David Williamson; brothers, Tom Williamson, Robert Williamson, Wayne Williamson, and Junior Williamson; sisters, Pauline Tanner, Winnell Jordan, and Patricia Tucker. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Theresa Rutledge Williamson , of Conyers; sons, Dennis Williamson and his wife, Janice, and Douglas Williamson and his wife, Jessica, all of Gainesville; daughters, Kim Williamson of Covington, Becky Stiles and husband, Randy, of Covington, Rachel Corona and her husband, Hilario, of Lithonia, Torrie Williamson and fiance, John Jordan, of Loganville, Leigh Ann Williamson and significant other, Robin Cohran, of Conyers; brothers, Gene Williamson and his wife, Evfon, and Randall Williamson and his wife, Diane, all of Florida; sisters, Geneva Abercrombie of Florida and Genova Abercrombie of Dahlonega, GA; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Friday, December 11, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (where Ralph was a member) with Pastor Scott Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8, Thursday afternoon and evening at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia.
