Patricia Merrilee Gladden Williams, age 62, entered her Savior's presence January 4, 2017. Merri was a 1972 graduate of Southwest DeKalb High School and a 1975 graduate of Georgia State University. After her Savior, husband, and family, music and teaching were her greatest joys, and she taught music privately for more than 42 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and J.B. Gladden, and sister, Jo Girone. Survivors include her beloved husband of 42 years, David; son Matthew, daughter-in-love Kati, and cherished grandsons Caleb and Andrew Williams; son Timothy Williams; daughters Sara Beth, Rebekah, and Faith Williams; sister Libby Gladden; brother Joe and sister-in-love Kalen Gladden; nephews Alan Crotts and Michael Gladden; niece Jennifer Ortiz and niece-in-love Rosemary Crotts; great-nieces Diana and Sarah Jo Crotts; aunt Betty Darby; cousins; and countless treasured friends. The family will receive friends 2 to 5 on Sunday, January 8, at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia (770-482-4411,www.hen ryfuneral.com) and at Zion Baptist Church in Covington on Monday, January 9, at 11 am, with service following at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southeastern Assistance in Healthcare.
