Patricia J. "Patty" Mazarky, age 72, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, at her home in Gainesville, Georgia. Patty was a woman of many talents with a heart full of compassion and love for those around her. She was a wonderful stay-at-home mom who cherished making memorable moments with her children, from baking and cooking delicious meals to creating pinatas for their school events. A lover of the outdoors, she enjoyed playing tennis, water skiing and gardening.
Patty, alongside her husband, Brent Mazarky, owned and operated the Executive Park Amoco, where she kept the books. She later retired from Belk. Patty's faith was an integral part of her life; her passion for the Lord shining through her service at Indian Creek Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Newnan and her membership at First Baptist of Gainesville. Every Christmas, she dressed up as Lottie Moon to raise money for international missions. She embodied a loving, caring, compassionate and selfless spirit to the very end, always putting others ahead of herself.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nitia Jenkins. Survivors include her devoted husband of 54 years, Brent Mazarky; her beloved children and their spouses, Lee & Tonya Mazarky, Christie & Gordon Callaway; her adored grandchildren, Taylor Mazarky & Toby Mazarky; sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca & Tom Summers; brother and sister-in-law, David & Joy Jenkins; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate Patty's life will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, April 10, 2025, at First Baptist of Gainesville, 751 Green St., Gainesville, GA, with Rev. Ron Grizzle officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 PM at Hillandale Memorial Park, Lithonia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church, from 10-11 AM. Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia, is entrusted with arrangements.
