Patricia Ann Hunt (Patsy) of Conyers, GA died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on May 22, 2018. She was 90 years old.
Patsy is survived by her children, Terry Hunt and Tina Ballard, both of Conyers, GA, Don Hunt (Margie) of Williston, Fl, Bob Hunt (Marianne) of Georgetown, KY and Bill Hunt (Tanya) of Conyers, GA; her 6 grandchildren; her 8 great grandchildren and her brothers Griggs Wheeler and William Wheeler, many cousins, nephews, nieces and in-laws. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Alfred H. Hunt, MD of Conyers, GA; her parents Ellis and Mae Wheeler of Augusta, GA and her brother Thomas Wheeler of Pensacola, FL
Patsy was born the second of four children on March 1, 1928 in Augusta, GA. Patsy was considered "the perfect child" and "always quiet, obedient and sweet" according to her brothers. Patsy's last year in high school was spent at St Genevieve of the Pines in Asheville, NC. After graduating she entered St Joseph's School of Nursing in Savannah, GA. She met Al Hunt when she was a nurse at University Hospital and he was in medical school at the Medical College of GA in Augusta, GA. Together they established a medical practice providing health care and personal care to thousands in East Dekalb and Rockdale Counties, GA for the next 38 years. In addition to her love for taking care of everyone all around her, she was a devout Catholic and an avid horse lover.
Visitation will be at Henry's Funeral Home, 6833 Church St, Lithonia, GA 30058, on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00. The funeral mass will be held at Saint Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church, 3200 Brooks Drive, Snellville, GA 30078 on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11 o'clock. The interment will be held on Monday, May 28, 2018, 9 o'clock am at the Georgia National Cemetery located at 1080 Veterans Cemetery Rd, Canton, GA 30114.
