Pat Bailey Reaves, age 82, of Lithonia, died November 4, 2021. Born in Atlanta to Myrtle Celia and Walter Terrell Harris, she grew up in Stone Mountain and attended Stone Mountain High School. She was a stay at home mom until her daughter, Brenda, went to high school and then Pat worked for "Decatur Cake Box" and many years for "Pet Corporation" as a line supervisor until her retirement. Pat attended Turner Hill Baptist Church and Unity Baptist Church in her early years of life. She enjoyed life; baking cakes; travelling; dressing-up; going to the lake; and especially loved her family. Pat loved all the children she knew and they called her "Nanny", but the dearest to her were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a very competitive spirit and enjoyed competing in the "Miss Westbury" contest. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Alvin Bailey and her parents. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jimmy Carter of Lithonia; brother, Winford Lewis Harris of Steinhatchee, Florida; grandchildren, Jennifer Jones and her husband, Matt, and Aaron Carter and his wife, Lindsey; great grandchildren, Desi Jones, Carter Jones, Luke Carter, and Eli Carter. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, November 7, 2021, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Martin and Brandon Irwin officiating. The interment will follow at Turner Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
