Michele Holbrook Haynes, age 65, of Conyers, passed away July 13, 2026. She was born on October 5, 1958, to the late David Holbrook and Brenda Robinson Holbrook.
Michele was known for her kind heart, friendly spirit, and the many meaningful friendships she made throughout her life. She genuinely enjoyed spending time with her friends, and the memories they shared together brought her great happiness.
She also had a love for travel and adventure. One of her favorite experiences was taking a cross-country trip with a boyfriend, visiting numerous states and creating memories she cherished for years to come. Additionally, Michele spent several years living in California and Las Vegas with her mother and step-father (without the step) before eventually returning to Georgia, where she remained for the rest of her life.
Michele will be especially remembered for the joy she found in the companionship of her beloved dogs. To her, they were much more than furry friends; they were her family, bringing comfort and unconditional love throughout her life.
Preceding her in death were her father, David Holbrook; mother and step-father, Brenda and Larry Romero; sisters, Pam Carter, Debbie Holbrook; and nephew, Darin Carter.
Survivors include her brothers, Johnny Gilbert (Val), Howard Robinson, John Romero (Kris), Tim Romero; sister, Angie Robinson; aunts, Sheila Carter and Fayne Holbrook; and several nieces and nephews. She shared a particularly close bond with her nephew, Dereck, who was her buddy and had her whole heart. Michele was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, including her dear friends whose lives were blessed by her kindness and companionship.
A memorial service to celebrate Michele's life will be held 1 o'clock, Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Rockdale Baptist Church. The family will receive friends during a reception beginning at 11:30 a.m., prior to the service at the church.
