Michael Wilcox, age 77, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died February 3, 2025. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 21, 1947, to the now late Newton O. Wilcox, Jr., and Reba Rickels Wilcox. His service to our country in the U.S. Army was an achievement he held with great pride. A dedicated member of The Ole Country Church in McDonough, his faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was an avid gardener and enthusiastic fisherman, hobbies that reflected his delight in the outdoors. Michael will be remembered for his sense of humor and enjoyment of laughter. Above all, he cherished quality times spent with his family and always took great pleasure in visiting his brother in Hiawassee. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rita Davis; uncle, Carl Rickels. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Jill Wilcox; children and their spouses, Timothy & Andrea Wilcox, Shane Wilcox, Scott & Tina Wilcox, Angel & Gary Goodman; brother and sister-in-law, Newton O. Wilcox, III & Maribeth; grandchildren, Anjelica & Arnold Jefferson, Jacob Michael Goodman, Dylan Hayden Goodman, Ragan Jillian Goodman, Madalyn Jillene Wilcox; great-grandchildren, Kaisen, Knavie & Bodie Lee Jefferson; several nieces and nephews; treasured friends, Sonia , Jeff & Valorie, Bob & Dot, Laura, Lynn, and Panch. A celebration of life will be held 1 o'clock, Saturday, March 1, 2025 at The Ole Country Church, 2649 Hwy 155 N. McDonough, GA. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service, from 12-1 PM, and a reception with light refreshments will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
