Michael Paul Thompson, age 69 of Lithonia, died August 26, 2020. He was a graduate of Lithonia High School, class of '69. Mike worked for Ecolab for 20 years, then later started his own pest control company "911 Pest Control". He enjoyed fishing, biking, kayaking, riding his RTV on his property in the mountains, and spending time with his family and dogs, Skittle and Buddy. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Evelyn Thompson; and brother, James Thompson. Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years, Kim Braswell Thompson; brother, Tim Thompson and his wife, Neisha, of Conyers; sister-in-law, Kathy Thompson, of Stockbridge; brothers-in-law, Tim Braswell of Lithonia and Danny Braswell and his wife, Kellie, of Loganville; nieces, Marsha Hall and Tori Bryant; nephews, Mark Thompson, Jacob Thompson, Nicholas Thompson, Roger Braswell, Noah Braswell, and Robert Braswell. A graveside service was 1 o'clock, Saturday, September 12, at The Lithonia City Cemetery with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. Since Mike was not a "coat and tie" man, it was requested no one wear a coat or tie to his service.
