Melvyn Dean Underwood, age 76, of Lithonia, died January 4, 2021. Born in Gainesville, GA to Dean Andrew and Clifford Ann Underwood, he and his family moved to Lithonia, where Melvyn was a graduate of Lithonia High School, class of 1963. He served his country honorably as a Sargent in the United States Army during the Korean War. Melvyn was an accomplished taxidermist who enjoyed fishing, hunting, archery, and target practice at the shooting range. Surviving are his Aunt Pauline Anderson of Conyers and numerous cousins. A graveside service will be held at 3 o'clock, Sunday, January 10, at Bethel Christian Church Cemetery in Conyers, with Pastor Ken Stokes officiating.
