Service: 11 o'clock, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 Place: Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Visitation: 4-8 Monday Evening Place: Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia Maurice F. Turner, age 84, of Lithonia, died May 12, 2017. Maurice was a graduate of Murphy High School in Atlanta; served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953; had 29 years of service at Western Electric; and was a 23 year member of the "Traveliers Quartet". He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Berda Turner. Maurice is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Juanita Wheeler Turner; daughter, Michelle Sheppard and her husband, Terry, of Loganville; brother, Marion Turner and his wife, Yvonne, of Conyers; sister, Frances Ivey of Monroe; grandson, Mitchell Lee Sheppard; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Tuesday, May 16, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Stacey Myers and Rev. Gerald Hudlow officiating. Interment will follow at Turner Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-8 Monday evening at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia.
