Mary Beth Rollins, age 75, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Lithonia, died September 30, 2017. She retired from People's Bank in Lithonia where she was a head teller for many years. Mary Beth had the unique distinction of being the first person to survive a liver and kidney transplant surgery; the family recognizes the precious gift of life from the Kerbow family in the organ donation from their daughter, Debbie. Mary Beth was preceded in death by her parents, William Anderson and Ina Mae Strawn; sisters, Marshula Phillips and Marquita Kelly; and grandson, Matthew Rollins. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, G. Wade Rollins, Sr.; sons Wade Rollins, Jr. and his wife, Celeste; Mitch Rollins and his wife, Kris; Mike Rollins and his wife, Renee; grandchildren, Garnie Rollins and his wife, Kim; Billy Rollins and his wife, Marianne; Coribeth Rollins, Andrew Rollins, Jackson Rollins, Neil Rollins and his wife, Christina; Colette Rollins, and Kent Rollins; great grandchildren, Hailey, Kenleigh, Brock, Trey, Wyatt, and Bryleigh Rollins. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock Wednesday, October 4 in the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8. Her remains will be carried to The Ronald Hall Funeral Home, Vadalia, Georgia for a funeral service on Thursday October 5, at South Thompson Baptist Church with Rev. Dannie Williams officiating. The Vadalia Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to Eula Mae Rollins and her family for their help in Lyons.
