Mary Alice Howard, age 87, of Lithonia, died July 8, 2014. Mrs. Howard drove a school bus for DeKalb County for many years. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years , Colie Howell Howard, and son, Billy. Surviving are her daughter, Carol Long and her husband, Bob, of Eatoton; son Dan Howard and his wife, Julia, of Griffin; brother, Joe Sills of Fort Meyers, Florida; grandchildren, Cathy Fain, Keith and Kevin Howard, Chelsea and Christopher Long; three great grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, July 10, at Turner Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Hudlow and Rev. Tim Chupp officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
