Mary Lydia Eikert, age 79, of Stonecrest, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Born in Natchez, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Lydia House. Mary grew up in the Mississippi Delta and married husband, Kenneth, in Sumter, Alabama in 1962. She was a beautiful, quiet, kind gentlewoman, who loved her family and friends deeply, and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Eikert; son, Ken; parents; and sister, Mildred J. House. Her legacy will live on through her son, David Eikert of Covington; niece, Kari (Drew) Kearns, and many cousins and great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service will be held 12 o'clock, noon, Monday, July 11th at Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. Rev. Mike Wadley will officiate.
