Obituary

Margie Doris McGiboney Kisselburg Ellington, age 95, of Lithonia, Georgia died August 6, 2020. She was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia and lived her life in the Atlanta and Lithonia areas. Margie was a Christian and remained faithful to her Lord. She loved to work in her flower garden and was a fantastic cook...she could bake the best biscuits, cherry cobblers, and peach rolls. She died peaceably at The Magnolia's in Conyers, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her first love, Charles Frank Kisselburg of Atlanta, and by her devoted late husband, Pleas A. Ellington of Lithonia. Margie is survived by a sister, Corrine Abbott; two daughters, Linda (Richard) Williams, and Denise Kisselburg; two grandsons, Keith (Tammy) Williams and Kirk (Rosie) Williams; and six great grandchildren: Isaac, Nathan, Caleb, Abigail, Hannah, and Josiah Williams. The Family would like to thank all the wonderful employees who provided such loving care for Margie at The Magnolia's Assisted Living facility in Conyers and Abbey Hospice in Social Circle, Georgia. Their dedication for her comfort and needs was most appreciated. There will be no public visitation and a graveside service will be held 9 o'clock, Tuesday morning, August 11, at Hillandale Memorial Park, Lithonia with Rev. Keith Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Gideons International.
