Mrs. Margaret C. Bullard, of Hoschton, Georgia, died May 30, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born into the family of George and Jewel Cooper on August 1, 1935, in the small town of Carlton, Georgia, and was a graduate of Comer High School. Professionally, she worked as a key-punch operator for AT&T in their Accounting department for a few years until her children came along, after which she was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she served in various capacities at First Baptist Lithonia and Heritage Hills Baptist in Conyers. Her most recent church membership was with The Church on the Hill in Jefferson. Margaret had a heart for missions and enjoyed being involved with WMU, leading G.A.'s, and truly exemplifying a spirit of service. Sewing, decorating, reading, and traveling with her husband were passions that brought her much joy. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 62 years, Carlton O. Bullard; as well as her five siblings, Alice C. Stallings, George F. Cooper Jr., Jack R. Cooper, Oliver D. Cooper, and William R. (Smitty) Cooper. Survivors include her three children: Wanda Branham of Dahlonega, Donna Goodwin of Bethlehem, Steve Bullard, and his wife, Lisa, of Newnan; her grandchildren and their families: Nicholas & Emily Goodwin, and their sons, Noah, Owen, Micah & Cannon; Andrew & Jenna Goodwin, and their daughter, Hadley; Hannah & Ben Haywood, and their children, Abigail, Jackson & Aaron; Seth & Mackenzie Bullard, and their children, Rose, Everett & Milo; and additionally by nieces, nephews and extended family. A funeral service will be held 6 o'clock, Saturday, June 7, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church Street, Lithonia, with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home, from 5-6 PM. A graveside service will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, June 8, at Hillandale Memorial Park, 6201 Hillandale Dr., Lithonia.
