Lyric Harbin

On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, Lyric Cody Harbin passed away at age fifty-two after a valiant battle with cancer. Lyric's family has deep roots in Lithonia, Georgia where she grew up and graduated from Lithonia High School in 1989. Lyric earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Georgia State University and spent twenty-five years at Norfolk Southern working as an Accounting Supervisor. Lyric was best known for her beautiful smile, dry sense of humor, fierce loyalty, and generous spirit. She loved her family and friends and was always there for them no matter what. She enjoyed going to concerts and meeting up for dinners out at a new restaurant with friends. Lyric was preceded in death by her loving parents, Harold "Hack" and Annette Turner Cody. She is survived by her brother, Justin Cody of Oxford, and many extended family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at 3 o'clock on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Rockland Methodist Church, 6747 Rockland Rd, Stonecrest, GA. In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able instead make a donation to the American Cancer Society in memory of Lyric.
