Lynda George Dillman, age 71, of Lithonia, went home to join the Heavenly Choir on September 3, 2017. Lynda loved God, her family, her friends, her country, and Turner Hill Baptist Church, where she directed the choir for 30 years. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and she simply adored her grandchildren. Lynda retired from CDC as an administrative assistant in 1993. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Jack Dillman, of Lithonia; her parents, Lewie and Rachel George, of Lithonia; her in-laws, Bill and Helen Dillman, of Scottsbluff, NE; and brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Carol Dillman. Surviving are her two daughters, Lori and Roger Frix of Covington, and Amy and Bryan Cornett of Duluth; grandchildren, Randall and his wife, Jenny Frix of McDonough, Ryan and Ashley Frix, Joshua and Kylie Cornett; great grandson, Jackson Frix; brothers, Charles George of Woodstock and Ronnie and Phyllis George of Dallas; nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, September 7th at Turner Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Lanny Myers, Rev. Michael Green and Rev. Farrell Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or to the APPA-Atlanta Post Polio Association.
