Jane Gordon, 85, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, died January 7, 2025. Born Lula Jane Forester on September 15, 1939, she was a beacon of love and thoughtfulness, touching the lives of many with her warm and generous spirit. Jane found joy in planting and tending to her flowers and vegetable garden and expressing her love for the Lord through song. Her compassionate heart for people extended beyond her immediate family as she carried out a card ministry, sending cards to those who were ill or homebound. A longtime member of First Baptist Church of Lithonia, her faith and family were the most important thing in her life. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who was always willing to help those in need.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Guy & Florrie Forester; husband, Robert Gordon; daughter, Jackie Ellen Wilkerson. She is survived by her daughters, Tona Gordon Ramsey, Robin Lynn Gordon; brothers and sisters-in-law, David & Olivia Forester, Frank & Dorothy Forester; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service to honor Jane's life will be held at a later date.
