Margaret Louise Skinner, age 94, of Lithonia, died December 18, 2021. Born in Conyers, Georgia to William and Isabel Owens, she was a graduate of Rockdale County High School. Louise worked for Grady Hospital in the medical records department for over 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and both country and blue grass music. Louise was a long time member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Lithonia. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 70 years, Howard Allen Skinner; parents; sister, Elizabeth Goddard; and son-in-law, Sidney Kitchens, Jr.; and grandson, Trevor Kitchens. Surviving are her sons, Wayne Skinner of Springfield, MA, and Robert Skinner and his wife, Debbie, of Bethlehem, GA; daughters, Barbara Ann Squier and her husband, Jim, of Roswell, Jeanette Martin and her husband, Terry, of Stockbridge, and Betty Jo Kitchens of Conyers; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; and fourteen great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her special pet, Pete, who brought her much comfort. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Monday, December 27, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Pastor James Ward officiating. The interment will follow at Hillandale Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
