Service: 12 o'clock, Monday, July 10, 2017 Place: Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home Visitation: One hour prior to the service Place: Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia Lorene Shaw, age 96, of Lithonia, died July 7, 2017. She was a founding member of Lithonia Central Baptist Church and retired as Secretary to the Dean of DeKalb College. Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, J R Shaw, and parents, Emory and Ethel Reagin. Surviving are her daughter, Dinah MacDonald and her husband, Mike, of Conyers; son, David Shaw and his wife, Elyse, of Sandy Springs; grandchildren, Michelle, Drew, Rebekah, and Ian; great granddaughter, Violet; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 12 o'clock Monday, July 10, in the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Don Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Lithonia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 11 - 12 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Heartland Hospice, 2711 Irwin Way, Suite 200, Decatur, GA 30030.
