Linda Nelms Welch, age 97, of Conyers, died Thursday April 24, 2014. Born in Gwinnett County, she was the daughter of Willaim H. and Minnie Osborne Upchurch. She was preceded in death by husband, Leroy Nelms and daughter Sherry Collins. Surviving are daughters, Marchaline Tweedell of Lithonia, Brenda Adams and husband, Ted, of Conyers; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, April 27, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Lloyd Stancil officiating. Interment will follow at Stone Mountain City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 Saturday evening at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia.
