Linda Paula Lanier, age 75, of Woodstock, formerly of Lithonia, died June 16, 2021. Born in Atlanta, she later moved to Clarkston where she attended Clarkston High School and later Reinhardt College. Linda retired from Lucent Technologies where she worked for many years. She loved her church, Little River United Methodist Church, where she said she always felt loved and welcomed. Linda was known for her quick wit and a great sense of humor, she could have everyone in tears laughing. She was an avid reader. Her cats were her delight and she basically was an animal lover of all dogs and cats. Linda moved to Woodstock with her sister, Stephanie, and brother-in-law, Lynn. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, like mornings of bird watching with coffee and conversation and lots of laughter. Linda could be heard singing sweetly on the porch at times. She also enjoyed the game of Jeopardy every night with family and her friends, Wesley and Donnie. Linda was a delightful person and a joy to be around, she will be missed greatly. Surviving are her son, Steven Lanier; sisters, Stephanie Brownlow and husband, Lynn, and Pamela Smith and her husband, Glenn, of Milledgeville. A Memorial Service will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday, July 10 at Little River United Methodist Church, Woodstock, GA, with Pastor Steve Matta officiating.
